Market Square is a 124,000 square foot entertainment and retail development located at the junction of Business I-80 and Arden Way. The center is a companion development to the 1,150,000 square foot Arden Fair Mall, Sacramento's premier regional mall. It's architecture is reminiscent of the Pompidou Museum in Paris - brightly painted beams, trusses and corrugated ductwork, and framed enormous domes flooding the space with light and color. Patterned floor tiles, colorful banners and generous painting soften the industrial elements of the design. Market Square was one of four projects in the world receivng the distinguished award for innovative design from the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Other major tenants in Market Square area include Barnes and Noble Bookstore, Virgin Megastore, United Artists Theatre, Kinko's, AT&T Wireless, Max's Opera Cafe, California Pizza Kitchen, Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream, and Mrs. Field's Cookies.

Directions...
From San Francisco, take I-80 east. When I-80 (to Reno) exits to the right, stay left and merge onto the Capital City Freeway (Business I-80/US 50). Stay on the Capital City Freeway for approx. 5 miles, keep to the right and take the Business 80 - Reno/US 99 S - Fresno, Capital City Freeway exit. Stay in the left lane of the exit and take Business 80 toward Reno for approx. 3 miles. Exit at Arden Way and stay right on the exit, merging onto Arden Way east. Go approximately 1/2 mile and turn left at the Challenge Way intersection into Market Square.

From Reno, travel west on I-80 and take the Capital City Freeway (Business 80) exit towards CA 99 South/Sacramento. Go approx. 4.25 miles to the Arden Way exit. Turn left on Arden Way, travel approx. 3/4 mile and turn left at the Challenge Way intersection into Market Square.
